Reviewing Books for Fun

The enormous popularity of book reviews is that some book reviews are fun. Whatever could it be to have prompted another to treat a review as fun? The reason has not yet become apparent to an author who is committed to their readership.

It was a saying that authors who had their book published and asked for a critique of their book did so out of necessity rather than there be a tightly held feeling that the review would take your book nowhere.

People losing interest in your book is disheartening. So, to approach a review of your text will not be a belief that you are a terrible writer as the review might hold you out to be. The worse thing is guilt, and yet it could be a positive thing and the only hope of consolation to do better next time. You are at the mercy of the reviewer and deep into oblivion that your writing is losing readership.

Reviews were tales of the author. Some were engrossing and spoke volume of the author. They were in the depth of a unique idea to coerced readers into believing that they were at the tipping point of becoming erased from their minds.

But do not give in to those critiques, they are there to put off the reader and delay a promising future for an unsuspecting author.

It means success or failure but let us not believe that a writer cannot bounced back from bad reviews. A critique is to build your readership and not to destroy it. Take them as elements to write about next time and use them to increase your capacity. It might put you on the spot and view your writing in more ways than one, break a writer or make a writer.

It must be taken into consideration, especially when someone has never had a review before—a piece of writing expressed in different ways.

Their ability to write comes under scrutiny. Suddenly, there is a change. There is a twofold perception. The reader becomes the writer, and so on until the review is completed.

A book review should reflect the authors' credibility. The reviewer should not give a glamorous review to a famous author and a sunken review to a not so popular author. They all have credible writing that should be highlighted on a writing platform for all to see. Bringing out their instincts as writers, say that there is something special about the literature that they produce. It is not fake or cosmetic but an inner focus of their imagination that speaks well about themselves that they shared with others.

Without that recognition, the writing has a chance of going up in smoke and wipes out the readership. A bewildered readership will be left to wonder that they will have to make strides to recapture their pride in their author before discouragement sinks in.

Our readers will believe that the review is for fun and a lost cause. So, they will try to find a way to reversed the downward trend swiftly to return their favourite author. Then, embraced them as contemporary writers who have appeal to maintain an audience. Their thoughts are to make their writing impressive and compelling to read.

They and their readers will continue to believe that reviews are for fun and therefore are incentives and ideas to write compelling texts.

The contents of the text would be a boost to an avid reader or a writer who was influenced by the entertaining script. But, which fell by the wayside.  Because the review was seen as fun and not something to be taken seriously. It was not a true reflection of the writer, and instead of the writer being uplifted, they become rejected. That was when the fun reviewer came into existence and left the writer to make amends to their writing before it was late.
